In a fitting end to the Willow Springs Karting Association 2016-17 Winter Series, Justin wrapped up a chilly round 5 with a win and grabbed his first outdoor Championship. The track announced there will be an upcoming banquet for the winners, who will receive their final plaques and championship trophies at that time. He did receive his other plaques for the prior races, which are now adorning his rapidly filling-up trophy case.

The heats and main were very exciting, as this was not only the final round for WSKA Winter Series, but the opening round of the F-100/F-206 Club Challenge, which Justin is now competing it as well. He ran against four senior class LO206 drivers, including his teammate Alex Gutierrez of CatKart racing. In one of the heats, Justin actually had the fastest time of them all, proving once again he can compete well beyond his level. Overall, despite low turnout, the Winter Series at Willow was fun and a great experience builder, and he's looking forward to running there again both in F-100 and for a potential Summertime night series they may run.
