Justin Wins Round #1 In Willow Springs Winter Series

Making a strong start in round one of the WSKA Winter Series, Justin's CRG #18 machine ran strong all day, bringing him a win and a points lead for the season. While he was the only entrant in his LO206 Jr. class, they allowed him to run from the back of the field against the Senior class, and he performed like a champ. He gained two positions in heat one, three positions in heat two, and two positions in the main. With improvements in his driving thanks to tips from Alex Gutierrez, Ulysses Washington III, and Justin Schuoler, he was able to shave over a second off of his time from practice the week before. With lap times only one second off the pace of the first place runner in the Senior class, there is still improvement to be made, but Justin knows what he can do to make up some of that time, and his team may be able to shave another half second in some gear ratio optimization as well. This was his first time running with the Bridgestone YLC tires mounted on Douglas spun aluminum wheels (compared to the MG HZ Red tires on Douglas magnesium wheels he was running before), and the grip and handling seemed to be an improvement.
