Sunday night's GP at MB2 in Sylmar, CA was again a success, yielding another third place podium finish for Justin and a $50 gift card. Justin high tailed it over just in the nick of time, after a nearly two hour drive in heavy traffic after his practice day at CalSpeed in Fontana, CA.

In his first qualifying run, he was able to grab third, but fell back to fourth in the second round. Even so, the gap between first and sixth was under 0.2 seconds! In the main, Justin fell back and was freight trained, so he chose to drop to the rear of the field and then go for a run to make up spots on the pack. He was able to gain three positions in the next few laps and get into third, and then hold that for the remainder of the race.
He had a really fun time racing with all his buddies, and it was extra special as this was his last race being nine years old. He'll miss the next GP in two weeks as he'll be enjoying the weekend as a spectator for the third to last race in the NASCAR Chase For The Sprint Cup at Texas Motor Speedway.
