After a few weeks of preparation and tuning on the kart, Justin took to the track to try out his newly tuned engine and carburator and get some seat time on the Grande CCW layout for next week's upcoming race. One major aspect was determining the proper gearing to be running, and that testing proved very successful, yielding over five seconds of lap-time improvement. "We'll get the gear ratio ready and run really consistently, make sure we run the tires real good. We have a long day ahead of us, but we'll get this ready for the race!", said Blumenfeld.

His testing made extensive use of the AiM MyChron5 and RaceStudio 3 software, allowing his team to analyze the telemetry and determine how to adjust the setup. While the day was interrupted by some light showers, he was able to get back out and complete what he came for. There is a possibility of rain in the forecast for Saturday's upcoming race, so the team will be prepared with a full wet-weather setup if the need arises.
